Melbourne, Australia: Apparently rated the best city in the world to live in, do I agree with this? Hrmmmmm maybe. I've been back now for about a week and I can say I feel somewhat relieved and comfortable. It still feels like home and everything’s kinda the same, honestly if I had nothing back in Perth worth returning for I probably would stay hear. Thankfully for me there are some pretty damn fucking amazing reasons for me to come back to perth

Some funky news a while back I lay-by'ed a Nintendo DS system and a couple of games. I picked it up just a few days before leaving on the big road trip and I must say the thing is utterly amazing, so so so much fun and the whole stylus pen thing in game = genius. If you have the chance to play one or buy one do it, you will not regret it.

Time to play some more Need for Speed Underground 2 me thinks. Ciao for now...

It's amazing how long someone can suffer from writer's block. From my last count, it's been well over 6 months for me now. It's not like I don't have all these interesting thoughts zing through my mind every once in a while, it's the writing them down part that I seem to be having real issues with.

My own personal creativity is now like some dream that I can't quite remember the details of. Like when you wake up in the morning, vivid images floating in your head, but no story or meaning to go along with them. I look at this site, and find myself saying; 'I built that site?' Yes, sad times indeed.

Thus far, I've not been able to complete one project that I've set my mind on. It's like I get a maximum of 15 minutes of concentration, and then it quickly fades away. I'm...distracted. Constantly. Does Zoloft help with that? Maybe I need to be medicated.

I keep having this desire to make some changes here, but making that first step is just so damned hard! I need some change here folks, before I just decide to pack all this web-related nonsense up, and put it in a box for storage in the basement. I'm just sure as shit that I'll end up with 'Death By Routine' on my headstone...

Well 4 day's now before I finally get some time off work and head to the other side of Australia (Melbourne). It’s been 5 years since I left and in that time I haven’t been back once. I'm heading over with my folks and my sister, we are going to drive across, they say it’s around a 3 day drive but on the way apparently there are some really cool things to see. I'm really looking forward to the time away from Perth, things are grating on my soul at the moment and some non-Perth time is greatly needed.

In other news, my band and I are gather around here at the apartment to work on some songs, drink some beer and generally be merry for a while. On the topic of songs I have a few new songs I am working through, but they are only in the early stages. I've been looking to buy a new Electric Acoustic guitar nothing too expensive, but its a toss up between a 6 string or a 12 string. I'll have to wait and see what the taxman gives me back before I can make any true investment!

In a more interesting turn of events, there are going to be some changes here in the land of madness. My long-time buddy Matt is going to be jumping ship from his own site, and teaming up with yours truly for some tag-team action. Since we both have been spinning in circles lately on our respective sites, we've decided to join efforts to see what will result.

Of course, my master plan is to add another mind to the mix, but our search is for a female member to lend a little balance to our testosterone rages. We've got a couple of people in mind for this illustrious (yea. right.) position, so we'll just have to see how things pan out. Maybe a magic combination will be hit upon here, and you, the visitor, will finally have something more intriguing to read than my wonton bouts of melancholy. Granted, the angst runs in all of us, but here's to hoping the different flavors will make the mix that much smoother.

This changing of the guard will also require some new code and modules to be added to my rather delicate scripting efforts here, so don't be surprised to see things broken ocassionally. I've been contemplating some design changes over the last while, and this may just be the final push I need to just go ahead with a complete redesign. Time will tell.

Regardless, I'm sure Matt will make his presence known shortly, and he can properly introduce himself. Meanwhile, I'll be over here, staring off into space again.
